For over four decades QE2 Activity Centre has been providing activity opportunities for children and adults with additional needs. Based in a Country Park by the Hamble River in Hampshire a range of activities are available including canoeing, climbing, archery and motorboat.
As the Centre caters exclusively for people with learning or physical disabilities our activities have been developed to be accessible to as many people as possible, from wheelchair accessible motorboats to adaptive canoeing and archery.
QE2 Activity Centre also provides day services for adults with learning disabilities.
Accessibility: The Centre building is single storey, no steps or kerbs. There is a Changing Places bathroom & toilet, with a hoist. There is also a mobile hoist. There is ample parking on site.
The Centre is in River Hamble Country Park, which has some hills and rough paths. However, for on-site activities that is not a problem; and for water activities vehicles with blue badges can access the waterfront.
